The plugin allows you to make a custom mini-profile display already. As for custom profile fields, where would it store the info for each alter?

There is a support thread about the search system having issues right now. follow that thread because the plugin isnt the culprit here.

I would love for there to be if/else support as well as custom fields. Would it be possible for someone to make an optional add-on with a super key to save and display the custom field information?

You mean to add you OWN custom fields to the alter fields beyond what the plugin already adds? This wouldnt be difficult, but keep in mind storage isnt infinite. Are you wanting the users themselves to put info into the custom fields or are you wanting to enter that info yourself?

Is there a way to grant non-admin members the ability to create their own alters? Under "Key Settings", I've set "Who can write everything" to Custom, and checked "Users can write their own content", with "Only members with the minimum rank" set to the minimum...

But when I log on with my non-Admin test account, I can't figure out how to add my own Alter. I'd really prefer not to need an admin to create every alter for every character, if it can be avoided.

Admin controlled alter configuration was to make storage globally accesible without the use of an additional key. Additionally, it keeps members from making a bunch of changes to their alter's without staff approval, especially if they became malicious. As keys go, you ONLY have access to someone's data if they had a link on the page to their username generated by PB. by having all the laters in the plugin settings, that data is always available - especially if in the future I ever get alter tagging to work.

It seems that, while Alters work on boards with .boards.net, they don't work with .proboards.com. Is there a reason behind it?

First Im hearing of this.. considering my test board is a proboards.com address I dont believe that to be the case.

what board are they not working on?

Question how do you make it to where it shows an Alter is online? I don't exactly know what a companion is.

How many members can manage the same alter?

We are two administrators and we would like both to manage the NPCs we have created. Yet, if I have assigned the alter to one account and if I click the "Add member" I can see the existing member allright but I have no option to add new members.

Is it one member = one alter?

Hi Wormo! Your plugin is amazing! Would you be able to tell me the variable for: Display Name Color? I can't find it. I want to use it elsewhere in my MP layout so that it looks the same as the regular mini profiles on the site. Thank you!

typically yes because each alter needs to have an actual account associated with it in order to retain post data count. The way the functions work, it wouldnt really be compatible with multiple owners of an alter.

An alter will show as online if its owner is online or if you have the companion plugin it will look at the last posting time and add 15 minutes.

Wormopolis the variable. I want to use the color in another area of the alter mini profile.
