browser tested: IE and FF placement: global footer (above any resize)
puts a simple background behind your navbar that you can style with CSS
<script type="text/javascript"> <!-- // put background behind navbar - by Wormopolis // wormocodes.proboards.com // do not repost - keep header intact
clsname="windowbg"; //set style of background here using CSS
// no need to edit below except for support for (lnks=document.getElementsByTagName('a'), k=0; k<lnks.length; k++) { if (lnks[k].className=='nav' && lnks[k].parentNode.width=="100%") { nwtbl=document.createElement('table'); nwtbl.insertRow(0); nwcl=nwtbl.rows[0].insertCell(0); nwtbl.className=clsname; nwtbl.width="100%"; toptbl=lnks[k].parentNode; // find which childnode for (a=0; a<lnks[k].parentNode.childNodes.length; a++) { if (lnks[k].parentNode.childNodes[a].className && lnks[k].parentNode.childNodes[a].className=="nav") break; } curNode=lnks[k].parentNode.childNodes[a];
while (!curNode.nodeName.match(/(table|script)/i)) { nxtNode=curNode.parentNode.childNodes[a+1]; nwcl.appendChild(curNode); curNode=nxtNode; } nwplc=(document.all ? toptbl.firstChild.nextSibling : toptbl.firstChild.nextSibling.nextSibling); toptbl.insertBefore(nwtbl,nwplc); break; } } // --> </script>
preview: since this site uses a floating navbar, I will have to work something up...
