I was taught as a Lutheran growing up that I will go to heaven if I believe in Jesus.
Now I have given it some deeper thought and since there are so many religions including atheism (I know, not a religion), only one belief is true. There's no way to know except to actually die which none of us want to find out anytime soon.

I believe the body just returns to the compounds its made from, but the energy (or soul if you will) cant be destroyed, so it just finds a new host. Sort of like reincarnation, but there isnt really a previous imprint thing going on. memories are just storage cells in the brain, so they dont go anywhere. The energy used to power them however can be used in a new brain. not all of that energy makes it though. some of it gets transferred into the other energies that make up the world, and some of THOSE energies might even get pulled into a newborns head as well.
which begs the question.. is there a finite source of energy? possibly. which answers why people seem to be dumber everyday...

I would like to believe that one day man will find the answer to this but I doubt it will ever happen. I don't believe anything specifically. I do however pray when I think it may do some good. And it has from time to time whether God or karma.  |
