I would like to find a code that does the following:
When a member starts a thread, they are sent an automated PM everytime that thread is replied to. When they open their PM it says:
A thread created by you has been replied to: (and then the reply here) and a quick link to the thread
Is this possible? Thanks

I'm aware of that, but that's why I ask for automated. Without members having to bookmark a post and then go to their profile and check their bookmarks, a code automatically PM them with an alert that their post was replied to. This would be very convenient for my forum since I am using the pop up PM notifier. Can this be done?

automated PMs are considered against TOS since it would require sending data to the server without authorized forms. There is a code on PBS that will force bookmarking of all threads when created.. the one Wrighty linked you to. but even that requires visiting the bookmarks page to select a PM be sent.
I had a code at one point I was working on called bookmark+ It would basically do what you are asking by selecting the PM notification automatically on the bookmark center, but it still HAD to use the bookmarking feature to send PMs. I stopped working on the script because it had a page refresh in it I didnt like. I will see if this weekend I can look at it again, but that script is the best I can do.

Dammit TOS Rules O.K. well I'm always here checking for any new or updated codes that you may have posted, so I'll keep an eye out. Thanks for the reply. I was thinking a TOS rule doesn't even need to exist if there was some type of agreement that every new member agreed to prior to registering. You would think that would settle any legal dispute for privacy.
