Hi! I'd like and Affiliate Table to go at the bottom of my Forum.
I'd like it to have Static Affiliate Slots, Scrolling Affiliate Slots(the one with the scroll bar) and Marquee Affiliate Slots. I'd Also like it to say Affiliates on it.
I know it's kinda a big order but please try!
Thanks, Littlerock818~

I want the Marquee Affiliates Scrolling Upwards on the left side, the Static Affiliates on the big part in the middle and the Scrolling Affiliates on the Right side. Heres and Example: survivorcatsx.proboards.com/index.cgi It's at the bottom of that site. I'd like it fairly big so It can hold a lot of Affiliate Banners. I'd like there to be little Open Slot message Signs (do I have to get those made myself?). I'd also like it to say Static Affiliates, Scrolling Affiliates and Marquee Affiliates above each respective section. Need more Info or is that enough?

so basically.. you want exactly what that site has? you dont want to make it different in order to make it more unique?
if you want it exactly like that site, why not just grab the HTML from their footers?
open slot icons would have to be requested from a graphics person. mine is currently MIA, so I would suggest PBS or studio zero.

to me.. unique is something no one else has. look at a lot of the RPG sites out there. They all have THE SAME stuff in them. a cbox.. a MOTM/COTM/FOTM/MOTM.. staff bio, scrolling plots.. affiliate tables with all three static/marquee/scrolling... side tables... many have border around forum.. many use this drop down select thing to navigate pages (and wonder why when they put multiple drop downs they dont work)...
you want an affiliate viewer fine.. but howabout one that does something weird.. like maybe has marquee IN a marquee...

but if you REALLY just want to copy what that site has...
<table width="550" cellpadding="4" cellspacing="1" align="center" class="bordercolor"><tr><td class="titlebg" width="100%" colspan="3" align="center"> <font size=1 color=1f2f4b>AFFILIATE TABLE</font></td></tr><tr><td width="20%" class="windowbg2" vAlign="top"><font size=1><center><br>Marquee Affiliates <br></br> <marquee onmouseover="this.stop()" onmouseout="this.start()" direction="up" scrollamount="3">
PUT MOVING AFFILIATES HERE
</marquee></center></font> </td>
<td width="60%" class="windowbg" vAlign="top"> <center><br>Static Affiliates <br></br>
PUT STATIC AFFILIATES HERE
Static, scrolling, and marquee affiliates are open. </td>
<td width="20%" class="windowbg2" vAlign="top"> <font size=1><center><br>Scrolling Affiliates<br></br></center></font> <center><div style="overflow: auto; width: 100%; height: 200px; bgcolor: transparent; border: 0;">
PUT SCROLLING AFFILIATES HERE
</div></center><br> </td></tr></table>

Well the concept of needing 3 different types of affiliates escapes me.. does a static affiliate have more importance then a moving one?
the other idea I had, was possibly having the images fade to 50% when they are near the edges.. but I have to research how that is done.. it might just be simple CSS.
I also thought it would be cool, if instead of them clicking a tag, and going directly to the affilated site, what if we popped up a little Div with a larger version of the tag (the image might be pixelated however) and underneath the picture have it say the name of the site. clicking the picture or the name THEN will take them to the affiliate site.
as I said.. I can do whatever you decide, but it just seems like if you want to stand out, you should try to incorporate as many unique things as you can. You should also post into the Brutal Review board to get some feedback from Manag (or whatever he calls himself this week).

! Well, Static Affiliate does have more importance than a moving one. Most of the Time, Marquee is the least important to the affiliate slots and most people shoot for Static. Static sites normally have the most member activity and if you post them as Static, they post you as Static which gives your site more traffic. -stares blankly at the mention of CCS, Div and pixelated- Huh? I'll post in the Brutal Review board....

well it works great in IE.. but in FF it seems to fail. Im calling it the bumpercars affiliate table. in IE the moving affiliates actually act just like bumper cars in a line...
I still need to make it work in FF..
