I'm just wondering if I could get some help with a couple of jquery codes I'm trying out together. The problem is the first code is a slider and as you can see on my test site below, I also have the 'easing' plugin, since I want to have an image fly right to left and 'bounce' as it goes into it's proper location. Everything works great, except the 'easing' plugin is affecting the slider as well, so instead of the initial smooth transition between images, now each image 'bounces' into place which I do not like. The easing script looks like this.... <script type="text/javascript"> $(function(){ // make sure your h2's have a position relative $('img#imageease').css({left:'1200px'}) jQuery.easing.def = 'easeOutBounce'; setTimeout(animate, 1500); });
function animate() { $('img#imageease').animate({left:0}, 2000); } </script>
<style> img#imageease{ overflow: hidden; position: relative; /* ie 6 */ z-index: 2000 } </style>
Initially it had 'h2' as the element and it was still bouncing the slider images. I have tried many different elements/classes (and continue to play with it), but the bouncing continues regardless. This doesn't make sense to me. So my question is, do you know why the easing plugin is affecting the slider even though I've set it to a different class/id name? Thanks for any help. *the slider transition is supposed to look like this: cssglobe.com/lab/easyslider1.7/01.html

never did a thing with jquery before, but this looks fascinating.. I might have myself something new to pick up on.
what are you using for the slider script?

Yeah, it can do some cool stuff.
I have this...
<script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function(){ $("#slider").easySlider({ auto: true, continuous: true }); }); </script>
plus the hosted .js file and the css in my headers. They have different ids so I don't know the easing code would overpower the sliding code.
*There's other sliders to be found, so I've decided to use a different one that is more compatible. Thanks anyways.
