How about a hover over thread plugin so there will be a small or large preview to show what is inside each thread without clicking each one individually to view what's inside.

you mean more then what is already shown when you hover over a thread title? There wont really be a way to GET more then that.. it would require an AJAX call for every thread on the page and proboards would likely flip out if it got flooded with 2 dozen ajax calls every page load.
