I've made a website a while ago and I've been editing it ever since. I have used many of your codes for the past couple of days if not weeks.
I need some advice graphically? My goal is to make it easy and yet interesting at the same time for any member that decides to join. Currently only have a few staffers but could I have some advice as to making it more...poppy? And yet easy to please new members?
1. I'm satisfied with my sidebars except for the fact that it's one big box for the Spotlight. Any way I could turn that into clickable pictures (Kind of like the staffers)
2. I'd like to have a separate sidetable for the weather, I'm thinking of using your weather generator code with some picture changes but...I can't seem to make a calendar there. I'm trying to shoot for a calendar inside an actual sidebox with tiny images of the sun, or rain on each day. Any help with that?
3.How do I add pictures on the board? At the bottom where it says "In Character" I want to add a picture underneath "The School" to show an actual school full of infested zombies or something. Any idea how to do that?
Strange question I know, but I want to make it seem natural but dangerous at the same time. It's a Zombie/Anime Roleplaying website.
Sorry for all the question >_< But I really want UC to be fantastic.

1. it really depends on what you are going to eventually put there? will it BE individual items then? maybe an example?
2. Im intrigued by this, BUT are you wanting it to generate these weather patterns like the weather code does or are you wanting to put in things manually? how far ahead will the calendar go?
3. the easiest way to do that, is to just use UBBC in the board description the same way you add an image to a post
do you members actually fight zombies in this forum then?

1. on-the-edge.proboards.com/index.cgi On the edge has a pretty good style for the spotlight. Like 4 squares showing the character pictures that won on that specific month and when you mouse over, it opens to show more information about that character. I'd want something similar to that. The animation isn't reallly necessary though it'd look better. 2. Well you see here bokumono.boards.net/index.cgi?action=gotopost&board=required&thread=3&post=13 Their calendar and Weather system is pretty good but I'd want them combined. Instead of making them separate like they did in Bokumono. The weather resets itself every month. And I'd want it to be random so that way it could be a challenge for me also ^_^ 3. Oh! Thanks, mkay, I'll do that and get back to you. Yes exactly! It's a survival Anime/Zombie RP website xD A whole apocalypse thing. You fight zombies, survive, fight more zombies, possibly lose a couple of friends on the way etc... |

ok well the calendar thing wont be too bad if you JUST want it to show the current month. I was dreading writing out something that they could click to get newmonths and it would have top generate new weathers every click.
as for zombie fights.. you might be interested in a code I wrote that lets you setup random monster encounters. you could create a list of different zombies, even have it where some zombies travel in packs or other kinds of zombies.. give them hit points and weapons even skills. then if you want to have a random zombie attack happen in the middle opf a thread, you just have to click a button and it creates the entire encounter for you. then the players just have to role play out what happens next

The Random Encounter code is pretty neat! I guarantee I'd be able to use it on DC. It's possible to change the animals/monster that you encounter right? So I could changed the trolls to walkers? etc...

yeah the trolls are just examples of how to edit the array. just stick to the same kind of format.
