so first of all im just asking about this now not requesting it. i got this idea from another celeb forum, theres parts of it im sure wont work on proboards but it mite in v5. 1. a text link just above the text area in Post Message and Modify Post that would dynamically open to a text input. 2. ive used this feature hundreds of times on this forum and ive seen this part there but never tried it until today. this is the part where i think id have to enter in the code(every name). but if the names can be stored automatically in version 5 screw it ill wait until version 5. like if i entered a name in the text input it would be saved in this feature and if i hit the letter A in a post afterwards the name would show up in the name list(the area next to the letters) and you can choose the name and it is entered into the text input above it with a comma and a space before it all replies would have a Click To Add, Modify link next to the Celebrities In Thread Link and everything would open; the text input with the original actress/actors name in the title would appear automatically and any name chosen from the list would be entered with a comma and a space before it. for any member who adds pics to the thread with other actor/actresses in them 3. a name can also just be typed in the text input as well obviously but if i enter E rite away a drop down appears underneath with all the names starting with E. and if i entered Em the drop down would change to all names starting with Em and down the alphabet to the end of the letter E this is what theirs looks like the whole purpose of this is so all names are entered into the thread after the post is made or after any reply or modification and all names will show up when searching for an actress/actor but their name isnt in the title. i think id just want an area at the bottom of the first post because i just like the thumbs showing rite away. Celebrities In Thread - Amanda Michalka, Emma Watson, Rachel Bilson with an hr line above it you could even make it into a huge Search Code for anyone to use so they can tag threads they want with whatever they want. just make the code without all my celebrity text so if you think in version 5 the names can be stored ill just wait and come back to this thread to request it at the time.

Im not sure what extra fields they are adding, but I seem to recall a "tag" field as a feature. you are basically describing that... with some added dynamic storage for hitting letters and having it auto-fill.
currently, even if you added the extra field, it would need to store it right back in the post anyways. it seems like a bunch of extra steps to just typing the names of the celebrities into the post itself in the first place. The search feature is still only going to work of the contents of the post.

im not even sure i want the letter part, the a to z thing. its an organized quick way of making sure any celeb is picked up in the search after being added to the post. sometimes theres 7 celebs in one pic and the thread title only has the one name in it for the certain celeb. the search finds the names. and with other members posting it makes it all the same way and shifting the names to the first post and its all organized the way i want it on my site when members reply with more celebs. plus other members and especially new members wouldnt know the sitewide system but they see it its rite there on the post page. ill ask in the v5 board
patrick said he didnt see why a code like that couldn't be made but id need a programmer. could you do it

later posts arent going to be able to modify the first post. adding in a tagging system will only be able to work on a post by post basis... but again, how will this be easier then just typing the names into the post itself?

I cant make any promises on this one. Im still working on a large code with the minimal time I have had lately.
you might implore one of the newer coders as well since this isnt a difficult script to do. maybe netmaster or crosse
