Is there any way to allow a member/staff member to modify a single thread in a board? The reason is because I have a thread of Races which is listed in the same board as the rules and such, because it's important information. I just don't want a member who helps with the Races thread to be able to touch the other threads.

well 2 things:
1. they would actually have to have access to be able to edit ALL threads in that board (have moderator powers) in order to be able to edit ANY thread. its possible to take away powers, but not give them. with that in mind... 2. it possible to restrict editing to a single thread, BUT, it can be bypassed by disabling javascript. if they did that, they would have access to edit any thread again.[MÜD:sorry]

Since most codes people use these days involve JS, I somehow doubt the person would just try it out. XD
Then again, isn't there a code to prevent staff from modifying admin threads?

not sure.. but it would have to be based on the same premise. the staff have powers to edit/delete posts normally, and the code just removes the button on any post made by the admin.
the code can be done, but its only going to be possible with those 2 things as a caveat.
