Have you noticed that the forums attach the posts of old users to new users who register under the same username? This has become a bif frustration on my forums, and although the new users can't do anything to the old posts, the old posts appear to have been posted by the new user, with that user's display name, and it also adds to the user's post count and appears as the user's old posts. Do you know of anyway to fix this, or should I bring it up with ProBoards Support?

That is done server side. they made it where someone could re-register a deleted account and have all the posts link back to them. there really isnt a way around it. you can add those usernames to the restricted list if you dont want someone to use them again however.
as far as I know, the post count shouldnt be affected by those posts... that might be something new they added in.
it could be done, but it would be a huge pain in the ass, to add a date to a list in a code that the new username was registered, so that any posts before that date would be converted to "guest" posts. it would require stripping everything from the MP of those posts however.

Okay.Just wanted to check and see. Thanks, Wormo! I think we'll just deal with it. There's no need to go through a big hassle to "fix it".
