I have to say, I was like WOW when I saw them. XD Really intriguing. I don't know what hobo means by new threads, but it'd be cool if they went to threads that had been updated in, say, the last two weeks.  |

it was just something I was playing with. I need a better flame graphic. its not new threads, it threads considered "hot" (as in has a lot of activity on it) basically any thread where the folder on the left is on fire.
if I can make the code a bit better and find better flames I will submit it.

maybe the hot thread folder icon isnt a good enough indicator.
what about this.. different size flames depending on how long ago the last reply was. so like threads with today replies have a large flame.. yesterday get medium flames.. anything up to a week get a small flame... anything older then a week get no flames..
and to expand.. maybe put ice crystals on anything older then a month...?

I like that idea. It would be a good visual indicator for people, especially those who have a hard time reading small print (aside from it being generally faster to just look that to find and read the date).

Yeah. I think the flames would only work with certain colors of text.
EDIT: What if you add an icon of some sort that does something similar? |

It could be added at the beginning of the thread title, after any "new" icon, or maybe even replace the new icon. (Might be good to have the option.) |
