You are in the barrel right? Too bad Rare works for Microsoft now instead of Nintendo. testing topic summary quote code I just noticed. Just a tip, the smileys are being converted using the [img][/img] tag. Somehow find a way to extract what is in the alt/title of those images because they contain the smiley UBBC!  This might be better than Eton Bones's Multiquote code! ;D @randie Should I call Wormopolis a ripper?  |

Eton's code is way more advanced then this one. And I didnt use any part of it. Im trying to figure out all the problems from scratch. it doesnt handle tables very well - so code tags and quote tags get burned.
the only way I could be accused of being a ripper would be to extract some part of Eton's code without any sort of recognition. Eton himself would take one look at what Im tinkering with and know he didnt write any of it.
I might not even post the code. I just wanted to see if I could make something work.

I was just kidding with that stuff. I wanted Randie to react! You ruin all the fun. The quote and code thing is probably because you modified how it displays but I bet you knew that. I was thinking somehow making a "copy" of each instance and hide it with a div or span tag instead of modifying right from the get-go. Please consider posting it! Yes, Eton's code is advanced but it's not the right kind of setup I like. This code might be once you have it finalized. I even asked him to update the code because of bugs and improvements and he wanted me to do all that because he's not going to put more effort into it but his code is godly. I'd get lost really quick trying to modify it. I was lucky enough to fix where and how "Thread Quotes: X" displays. |
