im moving some stuff in some of my tables, i want to put an hr line in between links that have padding which throws off the hr line and it doesnt look the way i want it. is there a way to get the hr line 100% where it is with the padding in the td its under Vickis Filmography / Facts / Vickis Twitter thenotablenook.com/index.cgi?board=vicki<td width="40%" class="stickytable" valign="top" style="padding-left:5px;"> <b> <i>

padding affects the internal width. if you tell it there is a 5px padding, then the new 100% internal width is 5px less on the left.

is it possible to make 2 rows inside that td that is part of the one row table itself. i could probably do it myself if you can. i cant really think rite now so im not gonna try it
nevermind i adjusted the cell padding and it shifts it enough, the hr line doesnt go 100% it ends up centered but it looks nice

If you're seeking just a line you could always apply a border to the bottom of the cell in question:
<td style="border-bottom:solid 1px #ff0000;">
It would go all the way across.

im not sure i understand, that just adjusts the bottom of the td and the hr line is in the td

I mean use the border to replace the HR line.
<tr><td width="40%" class="stickytable" valign="top" style="padding-left:5px;border-bottom:solid 1px #ff0000;"> <b> <i>
<a href="http://thenotablenook.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=vickinews&thread=15662" target="_blank"><font color="#00138E">Vickis Filmography</font></a> / <a href="http://thenotablenook.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=vickinews&thread=15663" target="_blank"><font color="#00138E">Facts</font></a> / <a href="http://twitter.com/#!/VictoriaJustice" target="_blank"><font color="#00138E">Vickis Twitter</font></a><br/>
</td> <!--Border is created here now as a line going all the way across--> </tr> <tr><td> <a href="http://thenotablenook.com/index.cgi?board=ass&action=display&thread=3473" target="_blank"><font color="#00138E">Please Read The Rules Here</font></a><br/> You Can Still Add Pics Or Reply To Any Thread
</i> </b> </td> </tr>

You'll have to rearrange the table. Before you had it set up like this: But now you need it to go like this: Cell 1 Part 1 | Cell 2 Part 1 | Cell 3 Part 1 | Cell 1 Part 2 | Cell 2 Part 2 | Cell 3 Part 2 |
Everything up top will have to go first: <table> <tr> <td>1 Part 1</td> <td>2 Part 1</td> <td>3 Part 1</td> </tr> Then the bottom part: <tr> <td>1 Part 2</td> <td>2 Part 2</td> <td>3 Part 2</td> </tr> </table> (Of course if the 95% length HR works for you, then it would save alot of work.)

Yeah it's never easy to re-arrange a table. You're welcome.

embedding galore I see. (Of course now that I think about it I remember going through the whole thing at one point to try and work out why the one thing was sliding over to the side.)
