Is it possible for a code to be made to change links to images ? infinitepublicity.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=musicvideos&action=display&thread=15Like in there I have the links, changing to those to images through the code. What I have is a bunch of pages that have it setup like that link, bunch of different links because theyre to different people but to the same basic sites. So instead of manually putting in the imagelinks into every single one, I figured if we could put up images to the links through one code itd load better/faster. And be easier. Whatcha think ? |

No it exists, but I moved the boards around alot while I was toying with the coding to see if I could do something different.
Its fixed now.

I cant see into that thread as a guest.
so basically, you want it to convert any links that say, have "youtube" in the URL into a linkable image of the youtube logo?

Pretty much yeah, though maybe limit it to just my posting or something so it doesnt happen with random postings...
Gonna give me hell to do it, but Ill take down maintenance mode so you can see the post example.

well I was actually trying to find a way to make censored words do this, but I might have to give in and use JS. the problem I forsee is it wont care what the links are to.. EVERY url itsees in a post with "youtube.com" will get transformed.

Its possible we can take out the reply ability in the appropiate board for the code, and have the code only affect the one board per where its placed.... Then make a substitute area for comments.... We'd probably want to do that anyway for these kinds of pages. Or we could have it set to just the first original post of a thread in the board? Or worst comes to worst, set it so it only does it to my posts ? Thered be two different youtubes though: www.youtube.com/artist/and www.youtube.com/user/I assume it could tell the difference if we placed those enture urls in instead of just youtube.com ? Also one other possible problem is the official site: hilaryduff.com/Each one of the official sites would have the artists name in there, so thats a little hard to make a preset for... any suggestions for that ? And any other possible problems? |
