d'awww....  This seemed promising... I wonder why exactly it isn't allowed. Maybe because of the infinite-loop possibility you mentioned. Or perhaps extra strain on the server for having to load two pages at once? I guess they might do this as a precaution against a code that, say, added an <iframe> on the main page that opened up the main page again within the <iframe>. It could also potentially be seen as a cheating way to gain traffic? not sure.. I wonder though, if we explained the motives/concepts behind it, would it make a difference? If we can assure that this code wouldn't cause any of those ill effects, in it's completion? Though the verdict did seem final.. I can't think of any other way to successfully add profile comments without any side-server complications.. |

I moved your thread to support so Craig would see it. I can only speculate on why they dont allow it, but I dont think it would hurt to just straight out ask Craig why it isnt allowed. Just phrase it nicely so he doesnt think you are trying to argue with him.

in case you didnt see it, Eton wrote a code that uses gigya to allow profile comments. its running on THIS forum!
