with all those codes that you made for me involving the last posts is there anyway possible to get member ranks back and still be able to use a code to color display names. without members yet, it feels really weird without it, and if people join then it really will

I dont understand the question...
in the miniprofile to the left you have a member rank "Wormo fan" and your name is colorized....

when you did it you said displaynames had different classes and i couldnt use any code to change the color. you changed everything to bold too. you told me to change displayname colors was to use membergroups, now im stuck with the name Member for rank. i wanna use normal ranks and bold and colors if i want

displaynames have classes depending on what group the member is in, but the group can be assigned a color in the admin panel. if you want a specific display name to be a specific color, there are codes for that.
now if you are looking to colorize a display name based on posting ranks, there wouldnt be a way to do that because posting ranks arent available except in miniprofiles.

most likely going to have to go BEFORE your mini-profile remodel.

before I mod this, you want to replace all group names with the ranks right?

not that I remember.. I was thinking more along th elines of replacing group names with rank names. I dont think you can have both because your mini-profile mod wont support it.

and now Im back to confused... if you are wanting to colorize display names based on posting ranks, that isnt possible except in miniprofiles. anyone not assigned manually to a group is default put in group 0. you can use CSS to colorize all the group 0 members as one color, but nothing on the main page will know their post counts.
if you dont have anyone assigned to groups, the "staff have normal ranks" code is useless to you.

i know i dont need the code now and i never said i wanted to colorize by post rank, just that you changed stuff in the last post cells and infocenter and i wanted to know if there was someway around that
