it does look different on my site, ill have to screw around with the colors. do you know how people get yearly recurring events in the calender. there isnt a code in anyones database

yeah but its the only way I have seen it work... without server side access there wont be much choice.
is the line showing up at least then?

I see the link vertical line. There will still be a grey line to the left of it however since the table cell spacing is still there and the border color is grey.

why is that line such a problem, everything on proboards is replaceable, but this one line?

its not really a line. its the space in between cells you are seeing. the space is controlled by the tables "cellSpacing" attribute. if you change it to 0, you will remove ALL spaces between the cells, not just the space between 2 cells specifically.
look at this post. every blue line you see, including the one that is around the outside of the boards themselves, is from a solid blue table. then another table is on top of it with cellspacing=1, that spacing allows the blue to show through.
