Hi there, I'm new here. I don't know why I didn't join your site sooner. I think you have helped me with quite a lot of things over on Proboards Support. Most recently with the Ethical Alignment code. Anyway... I was wondering how you made your Welcome area. The area with the Last Posts, Code Database, Code Request, News Fader stuff. I'd like to do something like that on my board and wondering what codes you used and if I can find them here?

The main thing you need is the Last Post Relocate system code. that will do the bulk of the work. the rest is just HTML. I also have a small code to move the newsfader up there but I mainly had to do that to make it all flow together better.
but that LPR code is where to start. that one is in my database. its fairly powerful because it can allow you to completely remodel your board and it moves up the dynamic data

Cool. I will start with that. Thanks. I figured some of it was a table and some html. But, yeah... to get those threads up there is the big thing. I'll take a look at the code. You probably address some of my questions in there. Thanks. I'll post again when I need help again, which I'm sure I will on this. Edit: Ok... I think I've got it going. A couple questions though and if I need to post any of them somewhere else, please let me know. 1. How do you use the ico_relocate piece of the code? I put in an id="icoreloc_general" in another table cell, that just made my on/off icon for that general board appears with nothing else... I'm just a little befuddled on how that is supposed to work. I was thinking it was supposed to put the on/off icon in front of the threads or something. 2. Is there a way to put in addition to the options you have already, something where I can have like the last 3-5 or so post from one specific board. For example: I have an Announcement Board and would like to post the last few announcements, not just the last one or the newest one. Know what I mean? Thanks again. Oh and this is the test board I'm doing this on: supernatural3.proboards.com/index.cgiExcuse the mess, 'cause... yeah, it's a test board. LOL

icoreloc literally makes a copy of the on/off icon on the left of the board and puts it where you setup the destination. I can see the icon below your test cell there.
as for "last 5" posts. that is not possible. that would require getting additional info from the server which violates TOS
