here is your table, the exact way you have it - but with all the nesting fixed. if you look at the bottom, you will see how many layers deep you went with tables
<table id="myoic" border="0" style="display: none;" width="100%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="bordercolor"> <tr> <td> <table cellpadding="4" cellspacing="1" border="0" width="100%"> <tr> <td class="windowbg" align="center" colspan="3"> <font size="2"> <b> <i> Thank You For Visiting The Notable Nook - Please Join And Grace Us With Your Presence </i> </b> </font> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> <table cellspacing="4" width="100%"> <tr> <td class="windowbg" align="left"> <font size=1> <a href="http://celebnook.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=ass&thread=3473&page=1"> Rules </a> </font> </td> <td class="windowbg" align="right" > <font size=1> <a href="http://celebnook.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=members&view=top&perpage=10"> Top Ten Posters </a> </font> <font size=1> <a href="http://celebnook.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=members&view=staff"> View Staff </a> </font> <font size=1> <a href="http://celebnook.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=markallboardsread"> Mark As Read </a> </font> <font size=1> <a href="#" onclick="scroll(0, 0); return false;"> Back To Top </a> <font> </td> </tr> </table> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> <table cellpadding="4" cellspacing="1" width="100%"> <tr> <td class="windowbg" valign="baseline" width="75%"> <div align=center valign="baseline"> <font size="1"> <div style="padding-top: 2px; !important; padding-bottom: 2px; !important;"> Last Updated Topic <span id="lastpostname"></span> By <span id="lastpostuser"></span> <span id="lastposttime"></span> </div> </font> </div> </td> <td class="windowbg" valign="top" width="11%"> <font size="1"> <center> <u> <i> Total Topics<br/> </i> </u> <span id="totalthreads"></span><br/> <u> <i> Total Posts<br/> </i> </u> <span id="totalposts"></span> </center> </font> </td> <td class="windowbg" valign="top" width="14%"> <font size="1"> <center> <u> <i> Please Welcome<br/> </i> </u> <span id="newmem"></span><br/> <u> <i> Total Members<br/> </i> </u> <span id="totalmem"></span> </center> </font> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> <table cellpadding="4" cellspacing="1" border="0" width="100%"> <tr> <td class="windowbg" style="padding-left:125px; padding-right:100px;" valign="top" width="20%"> <font size="1"> <i> There Are Currently <font color="00138E"> <span id="totalonline"></span> </font> Users Online </i> </font> <div style="float: right;"> <font size="1" color="00138E"> <i> The Most Users Online Were - </i> <span id="mostonline"></span> </font> </div> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> <table cellpadding="4" cellspacing="1" width="100%"> <tr> <td class="windowbg" valign="middle" width="28%"> <div style="float: left;"> <font size="1"> <font color="00FF00"> Moderators </font> <span id="modsonline"></span><br/> <font color="9C8700"> Global Moderators </font> <span id="gmodsonline"></span><br/> <font color="FF03DD"> Administrators </font> <span id="adminsonline"></span> </font> </div> <div style="float: right;"> <font size="1"> Guests <span id="guestsonline"></span><br/> <font color="00138E"> Members </font> <span id="membersonline"></span> </font> </div> </td> <td class="windowbg" width="76%"> <font size="1"> <div align="center" > <span id="onlinelist"></span> </div> </font> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> <table cellpadding="4" cellspacing="1" border="0" width="100%"> <tr> <td class="windowbg" style="padding-left:100px; padding-right:200px;" valign="top" width="20%"> <font size="1"> <i> There Were <font color="00138E"> <span id="totalonlinetoday"></span> </font> Users Online In The Last 24 Hours </i> </font> <div style="float: right;"> <font size="1" color="00138E"> Members </font> <span id="memberonlinetoday"></span> <font size="1" color="000000"> - Guests <span id="guestsonlinetoday"></span> </font> </div> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> <table cellpadding="4" cellspacing="1" boder="0" width="100%"> <tr> <td class="windowbg" valign="middle" width="100%"> <font size="1"> <div align="center"> <span id="usersonlinetoday"></span> </div> </font> </td> </tr> </table> </td> </tr> </table> </td> </tr> </table> </td> </tr> </table> </td> </tr> </table> </td> </tr> </table> </td> </tr> </table>

yah I know. that is what Im sayin. all that extra layering produced a trainwreck when it was corrected for proper HTML. the reason it looked somewhat ok before, was that the browser was doing some of the closing FOR you.
what you need to do, is figure out what you want the table to look like. row by row. if one row is going to have multiple columns, then the other rows need to have a colspan to equal the same number. if you want 3 columns in one row, then a row with 1 column needs to have a colspan of 3.
the multiple nested tables needs to be addressed first. I know that you were after the left-right thing in that one row.. and having a table in there is fine.. but as you can see, you opened up a new table for each row and left it open before continuing on.
maybe make an image that shows where you want each piece of data to show up. then we can make a single table, FOR the MYOIC, that encompasses those items.
remember back when you first asked me about the MYOIC code, I said you need to understand how to make a table in HTML or it gets thrown asunder. we arent going to be able to just fix what you have. you a going to need a brand new table.

i have everything i need, it works, i got the left side and the rite side. just the padding between the rite side doesnt work without all those margins, the link row wont resize to the same width as the rest of the infocenter at 100% or 804 px, and i have no idea what that little row above the link row is. i dont want to be making other tables, it works fine tunescool2.proboards.com/index.cgi

i just wanna move the blue hr line down, i took what you gave me for the hr lines for my menu table, the style=margin-bottom: +1px; and it wont move. i want to move it down towards the bottom of the cell where the green line is. thats how the hr lines html is my infocenter <hr style="width: 94%; color: transparent; background-color: transparent; border-top: 3px solid #00138E; style=margin-bottom: +1px;"/> tunescool.proboards.com/index.cgi?

i was freaking out i needed a code or to modify a code and theres nothing to change on my site, so i thought id try to get this one row in my IC rite again. youre a mod on pbs and always doing stuff, do you ever get that way, where you just have to be working on a code or something, like a drug, you need it?
so anyway i got what i needed done, but how do i get it without a margin for every link. i swear you told me once but i went thru this thread 3 times and couldnt find it
<td align="right">
<b> <font size=1 style="margin-right: 7px"><a href="http://celebnook.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=members&view=top&perpage=10">Top Ten Posters</a></font> <font size=1 style="margin-right: 7px"><a href="http://celebnook.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=members&view=staff">View Staff</a></font> <font size=1 style="margin-right: 7px"><a href="http://celebnook.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=markallboardsread">Mark As Read</a></font> <font size=1 style="margin-right: 7px"><a href="#" onclick="scroll(0, 0); return false;">Back To Top</a> </font> </b>
</td>

since all those links are in font tags, and all those font tags are exactly the same, why dont you just use 1 font tag surrounding all of them:
<font size=1 style="margin-right: 7px"> <a href="http://celebnook.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=members&view=top&perpage=10">Top Ten Posters</a> <a href="http://celebnook.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=members&view=staff">View Staff</a> <a href="http://celebnook.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=markallboardsread">Mark As Read</a> <a href="#" onclick="scroll(0, 0); return false;">Back To Top</a> </font>
then you only have to have the single font tag with the margin correction.

it ends up with no padding between the links

put put spaces between the links, you need to put in
&nb sp; (without the space in the middle)
it creates a non-breaking white space.

that works fine and i dont have a problem using it, but isnt there another way of doing that with one line of padding or whatever

well.. you COULD give the surrounding font a classname like "fontspecial"
<font class="fontspecial">
and then put in some CSS that affects all the links inside
font.fontspecial a {margin-right: 10px}

that worked. i know alot of my tables are screwed up but i like the html to look a certain way and i hate using all those font tags and whatever in all those tables with all my boards. i guess i know or knew that i could do the same with text but would never think of it again unless i saw it. not like im saving room or anything i have so many codes, but im gonna do that with all those situations in my tables. i do alter my tables often and it would just be nicer to look at. so thanks wormer
