all I could ever think of was like a part of a broken easter egg... like a shell.

Chocolate Easter egg I hope. LOL sounds good to me. I guess the problem is finding an image on the internet.

I started to look but got distracted by something else. typically I found free images and used GIMP to rotate them slightly and make them transparent on the outside so they floated. Im sure you could find a regular easter egg and do the same, or have a GOOD graphics person come up with something way better then what I had in there for defaults. my halloween masks could have been better.

I don't have the software to do stuff with images - I've got an old Photoshop program full stop. I do all the images for my forum - I don't have anyone to help me...... cue the violins!

GIMP is free if you want to download it. You have to sorta play around with it to understand it. Im a complete noob when it comes to it.

Do you know if GIMP will do more than Photoshop?

more? doubtful. it is, after all, a freeware. but they make plugins for it a lot.
Im sure photoshop will do whatever you need to do.

Photoshop has been great so far, once I worked out how to use it - no what I mean is, use one aspect of the many things it can do. It's not exactly user friendly!

gimp was the same way.. it took playing around with test images to understand the controls before working on something I wanted. I also would look up on google how to do certain things. since I dont use it a lot, I still find myself going back and looking up how to do stuff.
some stuff is easy like rotating images or using a blend tool.. adding transparency was a little tougher. you could download it and try it. if you dont like it, delete it.

I'm fairly happy using Photoshop when working with or creating transparencies.

can you do a member EXCLUSION as well? Most of my members love the hats, but there is one member, for religious reasons, doesn't celebrate any holidays. I would rather have an exclusion list because it would just be her.
the inclusion list would be too cumbersome for me to deal with.
thanks

see this line
if (!inclusiveMembersOnly || (tds[vt].getElementsByTagName('b')[0] && tds[vt].getElementsByTagName('b')[0].firstChild && tds[vt].getElementsByTagName('b')[0].firstChild.nodeName.toLowerCase()=='a' && tds[vt].getElementsByTagName('b')[0].firstChild.href.match(regchk))) {
the last bit of it
tds[vt].getElementsByTagName('b')[0].firstChild.href.match(regchk))) {
put a ! in front of it like
!tds[vt].getElementsByTagName('b')[0].firstChild.href.match(regchk))) {
then put excluded names in the list.
